Although there are reports that the CFL may postpone its season on April 19th, the league is still moving forward with business. Today the CFL hosted its 2021 Global Draft. The event started at 1 PM EST and each of the nine Canadian teams had the opportunity to select four players from outside the United States and Canada.
In 2019 the CFL held separate drafts for Europe and Mexico, but with this combined global draft the league is looking at almost 3,000 players to select from.

The CFL still has their National Draft coming up on May 4th, and as of this writing the season is still scheduled to kickoff June 10th. The first two hours of the CFL National Draft will be broadcast on TSN and the rest can be followed along live on CFL.ca’s Draft Tracker.
With XFL on the sidelines for 2021 and possibly 2022, there’s a lot of new eyes on the CFL this year. Although the league is possibly delaying the start of the season, it still seems likely that we will see them play at some point in 2021. Will you be tuning into the CFL season this year?
