Earlier today the alternative football scene was rocked by the reports from the United Football Players Association that they had sources telling them the CFL was considering canceling their 2021 and 2022 seasons. Since then a multitude of CFL insiders, as well as the CFL, have refuted these rumors.
Since then, former Seattle Dragons running back Kenneth Farrow on behalf of the UFPA and the UFPA board addressed the comments and controversy.
A message to players from @KennethMFarrow and the UFPA board about transparency, accountability and avoiding the pitfalls that befell the XFL and AAF and left us fending for ourselves. https://t.co/LN4983tFXw

It all stems down to them giving their case on what they’ve been told. As we reported earlier, the UFPA is stating that multiple sources, including current and former coaches/executives in the CFL saying that the league was looking at possible canceling their 2021 and 2022 seasons.
Farrow also reaffirmed that the UFPA is not associated with the CFLPA, or the XFL for that matter. This was more of a message to the players, that this could be a possibility.
