XFL Renegades DT's Doug Costin & Tomasi Laulile Sign NFL Contracts

Renegades DT’s Doug Costin & Tomasi Laulile Sign NFL Contracts

Two more XFL players have signed NFL contracts. Arlington Renegades defensive tackles Doug Costin, and Tomasi Laulile are headed back to the NFL.

Doug Costin

Doug Costin has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, first reported by ML Football.

Costin has plenty of spring football experience. He played in the USFL in 2022, winning the Championship with the Birmingham Stallions. This earned him a stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he was ultimately cut in training camp.

Doug Costin then joined the Arlington Renegades ahead of the 2023 XFL season, and won another spring football Championship. Costin appeared in four games, making two tackles. Now, he’s headed back to the NFL, with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Tomasi Laulile

Interestingly enough, we just wrote a few days ago about Tomasi Laulile signing an NFL contract. He signed to the San Francisco 49ers late last week. However, he was quickly released – and was instantaneously picked up by the Denver Broncos.

Laulile won the XFL Championship this year with the Arlington Renegades, posting nine tackles for the team. He also scored the first touchdown of the season for Arlington, with a pick six of Luis Perez in week one.

Tomasi has been in the spring football scene for quite some time. He was with the Dallas Renegades during the XFL’s 2020 season, and played with the USFL’s Houston Gamblers in 2022. His NFL journey now continues with the Denver Broncos.

With Doug Costin signing to the Las Vegas Raiders, the XFL has now sent 63 players to the NFL, which is remarkable.
