Later this afternoon the XFL’s first supplemental draft kicks off. Already we have some pretty big news out of the league. The XFL has assigned additional quarterbacks to three of it’s franchises.

First, Josh Johnson has been assigned to the Wildcats, Taylor Heinicke to the BattleHawks and lastly Chase Litton to the Seattle Dragons.

JOSH JOHNSON
Selected in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, the 11-year pro veteran spent 2019 with the Detroit Lions and 2018 with the Washington Redskins, for whom he threw 590 yards and three touchdowns across three starts.
The University of San Diego alum was an FCS All-American and a Walter Payton Award finalist.
TAYLOR HEINICKE
The graduate of Old Dominion finished his collegiate career in 2014, at that point ranking third in FBS history in total offense; fourth in FBS with 132 touchdown passes; and sixth in passing yards.
Heinicke spent time with the Minnesota Vikings (2015-2017), New England Patriots (2017), Houston Texans (2017) and Carolina Panthers (2018-2019).
CHASE LITTON
The Florida native finished his college career at Marshall University ranked fifth in school history in career passing yards (8,332) and fourth in career passing touchdowns (72). Litton was the Thundering Herd’s second QB with at least a 60% completion rate in three consecutive seasons.
After finishing his junior season, he declared for the 2018 NFL Draft before earning a spot on the practice squad for the Kansas City Chiefs (2018) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2019).
