You read the title correct, the XFL has officially announced the date and time of when they will reveal the team names and logos for their 2023 return.
Early Sunday morning, the league sent a notice to fans on their e-mail list letting them know that they will release the team names and logos at 8am ET on October 31st. The announcement doesn’t give much detail other than you’ll be able to watch the reveal on the XFL social channels or on XFL.com.
We hear some of you may be interested in what your city's team name and logo is. Did we get that right?

What it doesn’t mention is if they’ll release all the names at once, of if it’ll be a slow drip like we saw in 2020.
We had expected that the announcement would be coming soon. After the XFL was forced to postpone their fan engagement events due to Hurricane Ian, it was believed the name and logos were delayed as well. With the events now taking place in November before the draft, the big news we’ve all been waiting for is coming.
If you were hoping to get a look at the names before they drop, we may have you covered. Late last month we discovered that the XFL was doing some work on their online shop, which revealed a page that displayed what seemed to be the new XFL team names.
- Arlington Renegades
- DC Defenders
- Orlando Guardians
- Houston Roughnecks
- San Antonio Brahmas
- Seattle Sea Dragons
- St. Louis BattleHawks
- Vegas Vipers
Since our report, the XFL Shop has been offline. It’s been a while since these names have been leaked, so there’s always the potential for something to change.
