In the leadup to the 2020 XFL season we saw the league announce their head coaches one by one. When it came to the DC Defenders, we saw Pep Hamilton come in to take the reigns for the franchise.
During his time with the Defenders in their short season, he led the team to a 3-2 record before COVID shuttered operations.
Since then, he has served as QB Coach for the Los Angeles Rams and most recently the Houston Texans.
Well, it looks like he may be ready to move into another role. Ian Rapoport reports that the Carolina Panthers are expected to speak with Pep to potentially fill their vacant offensive coordinator role.

This is great news for Hamilton, as if he secures the role could land with some familiar faces from the XFL.
Currently on the rosters is former Houston Roughnecks QB PJ Walker, who could benefit from someone like Hamilton coming into the mix.
We’ll keep you posted as more information on this comes to light.
