The Spring League Reveals Rosters For North Division Franchises

The Spring League Week Five North Division Transactions

Earlier today the blockbuster news came out that the United States Football League (USFL) would be returning in 2022 on FOX. But, The Spring League still has two weeks like on the 2021 season.

Heading into week five, TSL has announced this weeks transactions for its North Division. All but one team is making moves this week, with the outlier being the Linemen, who came off a strong overtime win in week four.

Alphas

Last week the Alphas failed to go even on the season, falling to the Blues. This week the team is bringing on some new talent to see if they can shift the momentum.

Joining the crew is offensive linemen David Brown, defensive linemen De’Tyrus Marks, defensive linemen Zane Smith and Jarvion Franklin.

In a surprising turn of events, running back Brian Burt will be exiting the team this week. Burt has come out strong for the Alphas all season, so we expect that there’s more to this story.

Blues

The Blues overcame the Alphas last week, to bring them to 2-2, with two weeks left to go on the season. This week they made a good amount of moves in hopes to keep them in the winning column.

Former Alphas quarterback Vad Lee will be making the move to the Blues this week. He’ll be joined by defensive back Stefan Claborne, offensive linemen Josh Fields, running back Kelvin Taylor, quarterback George Bowen and defensive back D’Londo Tucker.

Exiting the franchise is defensive back Glenn Harris. Also leaving the team due to injury is quarterback Keller Chryst, wide receiver Delvon Hardaway and offensive linemen Niko Culnan.

Conquerors

The Conquerors had the opportunity to play in The Spring League’s first overtime game, but unfortunately they came out on the losing side. This week their looking to make some adjustments to stay in the Championship contention.

The Conq’s added a good number of players this week. Jumping to the franchise is running back Art Thompkins, defensive linemen Kai Higgins, linebacker Zach Richardson, kicker Michael Carrizosa and wide receiver Ron’Quavion Tarver.

As expected, especially after the addition of Carrizosa, kicker Cole Murphey is on his way out. Also exiting the Conquerors is defensive back Robenson Therzie. Due to injury, defensive tackle Malik Dorton will also not be returning this season.

With only two weeks remaining until The Spring League holds their 2021 Championship in Houston, there’s still room for most of the teams to get a shot. Couple that with the news that the USFL is retuning next year, and will be run by TSL CEO Brian Woods, there’s a lot on the table for these players right now.
