This week the USFL has pulled all the stops and gone on a full-blown marketing blitz. Starting things out we learned of the partnership with SportRadar for sports data and integrity. This will see SportRadar handle all of the stats for broadcast and gambling, as well as make sure measures are in place to keep everything legal.
Then, we heard the blockbuster news that the league will be hosting their playoffs and championship out of Tom Benson HOF Stadium in Canton, OH. This has been in the works behind the scenes for a while. The main reason we’re not seeing the USFL stay in Birmingham is the timing of the World Games, which are set to begin just four days after the championship.
From there fans were greeted with a brand new USFL Shop, with all-new merchandise. The launch coincided with the leagues roll-out of all eight team uniforms.
But, the USFL is not taking the gas of the pedal. During the uniform reveals, they announced that their Draft Lottery would be televised during ‘Speak For Yourself’ live on FS1. Generally Colin Cowherd is the go to personality for the league, but today their expanding their reach.
One more thing…
