What a Late February Draft Means For The USFL 2022 Timeline

USFL Officially Reveals the First Four Head Coaches on The Herd

Earlier this morning it seemed that the first four USFL head coaches were leaked. It wasn’t long after that we heard that the news may not be 100% correct. Fans across the world would have to tune in live to The Herd on FS1 where the official announcement was taking place.

Unlike the last time The Herd dropped some USFL news, fans had to wait until the shows third hour to finally get the names. Going into the news, it was expected that we’d learn the head coaches for either the Southern or Northern division. Instead, the league opted to give us a mixture to start things out.

What’s interesting is that the earlier leak had some of these names on the list, but other than Sumlin they were incorrectly attributed.

We now wait to hear from the league for the rest of the head coaches. That being said, I don’t think we’ll need to wait much longer.

We’ll keep you posted as more news comes out on the upcoming USFL season. Which, if you haven’t heard, is now less than 100 days away. Shortly before the head coaching announcements, the league used the exposure to announce the kickoff date; which is officially April 16th, 2022.

Now that the news is out, we expect the USFL to put out an official press release. Once they do, we’ll update the article so stay tuned for more!
