The XFL’s first training camp just wrapped up and the league is set to announce the 52-man roster for all eight of its franchises this upcoming Monday. A lot of the cuts are expected to join the XFL’s ‘Team 9’, which will be used to supplement the teams throughout the season in case of injury.
There haven’t been many detail on ‘Team 9’ other than that they would be based out of Dallas and would be comprised of roughly 35 to 40 players. Well, today, it seems we found out who will be coaching this team throughout the season. According to Football Scoop, Bart Andrus has been tapped for the position.
Andrus served as head coach for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe from 2001 to 2007, the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League in 2009, and the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League in 2012, compiling a career record of 40 wins and 54 losses. Andrus also was the head football coach at Rocky Mountain College in 1996, posting a mark of 6–4.
