Bob Stoops Name re-emerges as Candidate for FSU Coaching Position

Bob Stoops Not a Candidate for FSU Coaching Role

The last couple weeks rumors have been swirling around that Dallas Renegades Head Coach/GM, Bob Stoops, was preparing to sign with FSU. At one point it was reported that Florida State had a multi-million dollar contract on the table. Today, Renegades fans should be able to breath a little easier.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Florida State has been in contact with representatives of former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops and does not consider him a candidate for its vacant  position.

Meanwhile, FSU has been conducting interviews and will continue to do so over the course of the next two weeks, the sources said Friday.

This is great news for Dallas fans and the XFL as well. FSU did say that Stoops was someone that they wanted to coach the team, but even after talks Stoops stuck with the Renegades. Earlier this week Stoops spoke about what brouht him back to coaching and he had nothing but great things to say about the XFL. We’re under three months away, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what Big Game Bob is going to produce in Dallas.
