ESPN’s Bob Wischusen joined host Ben Heisler on the Awful Announcing podcast today and discussed a variety of topics. About halfway through the interview Heisler brought up a recent Tweet that Wischusen posted in regards to him tanking his XFL audition back in 2000.

He went on to say “I tanked the audition by calling a game the way I would call a game right down the middle, knowing that’s not what their looking for”. Wischusen also discussed the worry of being blackballed from ever calling for the NFL if he had taken a job with the XFL. A lot of interesting tidbits in here, listen to the snippet below.
