Marc Trestmen is bringing all his friends from the CFL down to Tamp with him it seems. Freeman joins other CFL allumnia Jaime Elizondo and Jerry Glanville. Fields was most recently part of the Eskimos coaching staff, but never ended up coaching a game with them. He previously spent two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as their Defensive Backs Coach.
William Fields has left the Green and Gold for a coaching opportunity in the XFL.
William had an opportunity for a promotion with the XFL Tampa organization, as he’ll move up from Defensive Assistant to Defensive Backs coach,” said General Manager and Vice President of Football Operations Brock Sunderland. “We’d like to wish William all the best in the XFL, and thank him for his contributions to the Eskimos organization.”
