Bob Stoops takes voluntary pay cut from Oklahoma

FSU Boosters target Bob Stoops — Not Happening

Like with every Head Coaching position that opens or is potentially opening in the near future, rumors swam the news feed with little to no evidence to back such a claim. So what does Florida State have to do with Bob Stoops and the XFL?

Last weekend, sources from fsu.fifthquarter.net indicated that administration and high-level Boosters are preparing to part ways with current FSU Head Coach Willie Taggart. These same sources mention a fraction of high-level FSU Boosters have reached out to potential candidates. Like most major universities, a search committee will be hired to seek out the top available candidates for the current position.

If Florida State decides to part ways with Willie Taggart this week or at seasons end, who is currently (8-11) in his two years. Florida State will owe Taggart roughly 17 million dollars in buyout money. If FSU has the money to buy out Taggart’s contract, then I believe they have the money to seek top candidates.

Sources with fsu.fifthquarter.net can confirm that Mark Stoops, Bob Stoops’ younger brother has been contacted. Other names that been linked to Florida State are as well Bob Stoops himself, Urban Meyer, who is employed by Fox, and Iowa State Head Coach Matt Campbell.

XFLnewsroom.com sources have confirmed that Bob Stoops has no intention of leaving the Dallas Renegades or the XFL. The same source has also confirmed Bob Stoops has had no connection with any FSU representatives. Our sources have confirmed that Stoops is 100% ready for the 2020 XFL season, and that he enjoys building a franchise from the ground up.

Bob Stoops will indeed be on an XFL sideline in 2020 for the Dallas Renegades as they kick off the season againt the St. Louis BattleHawks on February 9th at 7 pm on ESPN.
