Fox reportedly pursuing Greg Olsen for XFL analyst role

Greg Olsen to Serve as Color Analyst for Five XFL Games

A few months back we reported that FOX was pondering the possibility of bringing Greg Olsen in as a color analyst for some of the XFL games. It now seems that this has come to fruition.

According to Joe Person of the Athletic, Olsen will be a part of FOX’s Super Bowl coverage this year and he will also work five games for the XFL.

“He’s set to work with FOX during the Super Bowl week in Miami, as well as its pre-game show, according to an industry source. Olsen then will serve as a color analyst for five XFL games as part of FOX’s coverage of the upstart league, the source said.”

At the time of publication there’s no information on which games Olsen will be commentating for the XFL. Regardless, this is just another household name giving more credibility to the league.

It looks as if Olsen is trying to follow the footsteps of former Cowbnoys QB, Tony Romo. Since making to switch to the broadcast booth for CBS he has been receiving high praises from the NFL and the fans alike.
