Earlier was saw XFL DC chime in with a list of hires, now we’re hearing from XFL Seattle. Head Coach/General Manager, Jim Zorn has announced via the official Twitter account of XFL Seattle that Mike Riley would be joining on as Offensive Coordinator, Donald Johnson as DL Coach, Steve Smith as OL Coach, Butch Goncharoff as RB Coach and Marcus Ungaro as DB Asst.
With this group, we have another AAF alumni. Riley most recently served as the head coach of the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football. Riley previously served as the football coach at Nebraska from 2015 to 2017.
Riley has also coached in several professional leagues, serving as head coach of the San Diego Chargers from 1999 to 2001 and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL, from 1987 to 1990.
