In a recent interview with 101ESPN of St. Louis, Jordan Ta’amu talked about his experience with the XFL, and how it prepared him for his practice squad gig with the Kansas City Chiefs. During the interview, he had high praise for the XFL, and what the league was doing.
When talking about the XFL, he said:
“If it wasn’t for the XFL, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. Without the coaching staff there, without my teammates, just everybody in the XFL – it was such a great time. Great competition, great sport, and it was definitely fun after a win in St. Louis. I love St. Louis, I would go back in a heartbeat.”

Jordan Ta’amu was a star on the St. Louis Battlehawks, and did enough to secure a spot on Kansas City’s practice squad. While he mainly talks about what it’s been like playing for the Chiefs in the interview, it is great to see an XFL standout give the league a shoutout for helping him get to where he is now.
He also talks about his love for St. Louis, and how quickly the fans accepted him and his Battlehawks teammates into the city’s arena of sports. Ta’amu had the privilege of playing for some of the best fans in the league – that St. Louis crowd was roaring in their two home games during the XFL’s short season. The Battlehawks fans loved Jordan Ta’amu, and he loved them back.
At the end of the day, it’s encouraging to see someone like Jordan Ta’amu praise the league. The XFL exists for guys like him, to showcase their talent and get another chance at making an NFL roster. Ta’amu is proof that the XFL worked, and it makes us happy to see him give credit where credit is due.
