June Jones reportedly poaching coaches from CFL’s Ticats

Over the weekend saw June Jones attend the Grey Cup to support his former team. It seems he may have had some other plans while he was there as well.

According to Farhan Lalji of TSN, TiCats OL coach Dennis McNight has accepted a role with the Roughnecks. He also states that Jeff Reinebold has been offered a position as well, but nothing on the status.

Prior to Jones joining the XFL he spent a couple years with the TiCats. First as assistant coach, then appointed as head coach after an 0-8 start in 2017. After an 8-10 season in 2018 (which included a playoff berth), Jones agreed to step aside for the highly sought after Orlando Steinauer to take over as head coach moving forward. Jones initially intended to stay on in 2019 as associate head coach and offensive coordinator but departed May 13, 2019.
