It sounds like Johnny Manziel to the XFL is closer to becoming a reality. Even before Manziel was “banned” from the CFL there were rumors and speculation that he would be joining once the league starts. He ultimately signed with the AAF a few weeks before it folded.
Houston Roughnecks coach June Jones, who briefly coached Johnny Football in the CFL, talked with Mark Berman and said the Texas A&M Heisman winner was on the preferred QB list of “about five” teams in the league.
He is also on Jones’ list of quarterbacks he wants on his team.

A few weeks back we learned that the Dallas Renegades weren’t interested. Manziel has stated that he would like to play in the XFL, specifically mentioning Dallas and Houston. The XFL Draft takes place next month, so we’ll know soon enough.
