As you should know by now the XFL season has been suspended due to the coronavirus. For a moment the league was sports fans last hope as the shock set in after the NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS canceled their seasons and it was announced that March Madness was cancelled.
It was later announced via an official statement from the XFL that one of the players on the Seattle Dragons had contracted covid-19. We don’t know if this is the reason, but a week prior to learning this we learned that two CenturyLink staff members had contracted the virus, which prior to the season suspension led to an announcement that the next two Seattle games would be played in front of empty stadiums.
The XFL Season may be suspended (most likely over), but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing going on. The XFL has just announced that FS1 will be holding an XFL marathon tomorrow, March 17th.
