The XFL Draft kicks off tomorrow at 10am EST, and the picks will be announced via the league’s official social media channels. The Tampa Bay Vipers just sent out a release detailing some of the specifics for their day.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS TO ANNOUNCE TAMPA BAY VIPERS FIRST SELECTIONS IN XFL DRAFT
Students From Roland Park K-8 Magnet School to Officially Announce Team’s First Picks on Oct. 15-16
Tampa, Fla., Oct. 14, 2019 – Four Hillsborough County Public School students will make history by announcing the Tampa Bay Vipers’ first selections in this week’s XFL Draft.
“This is a historic week for the Tampa Bay Vipers and the XFL, and we’re enlisting the help of our future leaders for this memorable occasion,” said Team President Josh Bullock. “The Vipers are committed to embracing our community and creating experiences that will last a lifetime. We’re putting fans above all, and Tampa Bay’s youth are at the heart of that.”
The XFL Draft takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and Wednesday, Oct. 16. Over the two-day draft, all eight XFL teams will populate their 71-man rosters by selecting players from a set of positional groupings, starting with the “Skill Position” phase on Tuesday morning. Coaches and scouts for each XFL team will be gathered in their local markets to draft their initial rosters. Teams will be given 90 seconds to make a selection and declare their picks through a video conference with the XFL home office in Stamford, Connecticut.
On Tuesday, Roland Park K-8 Magnet School students Rodney Addison (eighth grade) and Adin Shah (sixth grade) will be welcomed inside the Tampa Bay Vipers draft room in Tampa. The Vipers hold the fifth pick in the “Skill Position” phase of the draft, and Addison and Shah will officially read off the team’s selection via video conference to XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck.
On Wednesday, Roland Park fifth-grade students Marcus Rose and Ashlin Sullivan will join the Vipers coaches and staff inside the draft room to help kick off day two. Tampa Bay holds the eighth pick in the “Defensive Backfield” phase of the draft, and the students will announce the team’s selection via video conference.
Interview opportunities with the students, Tampa Bay Vipers Team President Josh Bullock and Roland Park K-8 Magnet School Principal Scott Weaver will be available.
Photos and video from inside the Tampa Bay Vipers draft room will be shared with media following the selections.
