The XFL Has Already Surpassed AAF Season Ticket Sales

Ever since tickets went on sale for the XFL people had wondered how well the sales were going. A few months back we reported that they were seemingly selling well based on the seat charts on Ticketmaster.

Although official number have yet to be released, the league had a very impressive first week; drawing an average of 17,000 fans per game. Now, according to Darren Rovell of The Action Network the XFL has already surpassed the Alliance of American Football in ticket sales revenue.

Now that week one is in the books for the new league, it seems to be unanimous across the board — people like the XFL. From YouTube personalities to fans online, everyone seems to agree, the XFL was leaps and bounds above the AAF. Everything from their television presentation to the quality of play. The ticket sales seem to reflect this.

The XFL is yet to play in arguably their two biggest markets. Next week, The Dragons play their first home game in Seattle, and a week later The BattleHawks finally head to The Dome. It has been reported that Seattle is expecting over 20,000 fans for their opening game next week. Overall, the early consensus is that the XFL is a success, hopefully the league can maintain the momentum.
