Today the world witnessed the first XFL Summer Showcase, located in Dallas. Tomorrow the league is heading south to Houston, and we’re now starting to hear some of the names that will be attending.
The XFL announced via Twitter that Will Hill III, Demarcus Ayers and Kenny Hilliard will be in Houston tomorrow for the Summer Showcase.

Hill played college football for the University of Florida and was a member of Florida’s 2009 BCS National Championship team. He was signed as an un-drafted free agent by the New York Giants in 2012, and has also played for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League. Hill also played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2014–2015, as well as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL In 2019. He most recently played for the Orlando Apollos of the AAF.
Ayers was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 7th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Ayers made his professional debut on December 25, 2016, and caught his first career reception on a nine-yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger, helping the Steelers defeat the Baltimore Ravens 31-27. The following week, he earned his first career start in a 27-24 overtime win over the Cleveland Browns and caught a season-high five passes for 44 receiving yards and caught his first career touchdown on an 11-yard pass from fellow XFL hopeful, Landry Jones most most recently played for the San Antonia Commanders of the AAF.
Hilliard, another AAF alumni, played as running back for the Memphis Express. He started his career in Houston, for the Texans as a seventh round pick in the 2015 draft. Unfortunately, he was released shortly after and signed to the practice squad. He later signed with the Washington Redskins as well.
