Last week the XFL named the eighth and final head coach, and just a day later went on an announcement spree naming new hires for Dallas, New York, St. Louis, Seattle and Tampa Bay. It was just earlier today that we saw Team President of XFL Seattle, Ryan Gustafson make his first business hires for the team.
Today we’re now learning that Vince Amey will be joining the Los Angeles franchise as Defensive Line Coach, a role he held for the San Deigo Fleet of the now defunct Alliance of American Football (AAF).
Amey played college football at Arizona State and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round (230th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft. He also played for the Las Vegas Outlaws in the first iteration of the XFL. He has also spent time in NFL Europe with the Frankfurt Galaxy, where he won the World Bowl in 1999. From there he went to play in the Arena Football League with the Los Angeles Avengers and the Arizona Rattlers. As we mentioned above, his last and most recent stop was in San Diego for the AAF in the same role he is taking with the XFL.
With all these hires it’s hard to keep track of who is where. Fortunately with the XFL2k Staff Tracker you can easily keep track off all the latest hires.
