XFL Closes Online Shop — Set to Reopen in 2022

Since the XFL was forced into bankruptcy and subsequently purchased by Dany Garcia, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and RedBird Capital there’s been a jokes about the number of sales that the league has ran on their online shop. Today, it looks like the jokes may be over.

Shortly after the XFL announced their first round of executive hires, they also made a few adjustments to their website as well. One of those changes was the removal of the XFL Shop. If you visit the page now you’re greeted with a message that states “New XFL Shop Coming in 2022”.

XFL Shop

After the XFL was purchased we’ve seen a string of sales on the XFL online shop, sparking criticism and jokes from fans across social media. With the closing and the new hires, it looks like the XFL is finally ramping up towards something.

The message doesn’t give a specific timeline on when we’ll see the shop re-open, just some time in 2022. We’re hoping it’s sooner rather than later. And more importantly, we’re hoping that they have fully customizable jerseys back ins stock when they do.
