Changing the perception of The XFL

XFL looking to target 2019 NFL rookies with six-figure bonuses

According to Darren Rovell of The Action Network the XFL seems to making a move to target potential 2019 NFL rookies with big-money bonuses to sign with the new league.

They are not looking to offer deals until after the actual draft, but executives have told agents at this week’s NFL Draft Combine that they are willing to spend money to persuade first-year players to skip the 2019 NFL season and begin preparing for the XFL.

Rovell states that XFL executives will be presenting an overview of the opportunities Thursday night at The NFL Combine in Indianapolis. He also said the XFL could offer 2019 NFL rookies bonuses worth up to six figures to lure them away from playing in the NFL.

If this turns out to be true, this is a nice play by the XFL. Money makes the world go round, and if they are playing friendly with the NFL, that isn’t going to hurt either.
