Just a couple weeks ago the XFL followed the NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS in suspending their season. Today, the league has made it official that the 2020 season has been cancelled. This was expected when the league allowed players to sign with the NFL (or any other league) upon their exit physical.
The cancellation was made official via a thank you letter that the XFL sent to its fans.
XFL President, Jeffrey Pollack has stated on multiple occasion that the XFL fully plans on playing a 2021 season. Although this isn’t really news, it’s now official that the season is done. This week the league also sent notices to season ticket holders giving them instructions on how to receive a refund or put the money towards their 2021 season tickets.
