XFL Reportedly To Announce Houston as Host of Championship Game

Ever since the XFL locations were announced people had wondered where the championship would be held. It looks like we may have our answer. According to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle, The Harris County-Houston Sports Authority and the XFL is set to hold a press conference this Thursday to announce TDECU as the host of the inaugural XFL Championship game.

Houston has been rumored as the location for quite some time. Mainly in part to how much the league has worked with the city so far; not to mention Commissioner Luck’s tie. As a local Houstonian, I’m super excited to see the league settle on Houston.

TDECU stadium, as you know, is the home of the Houston Roughnecks and is on the University of Houston campus. The facility holds roughly 40,000 people, which seems to be a perfect goal for the league to aim for in its inaugural championship.
